Foreign Brief, “NATO foreign ministers to discuss Russia-Ukraine confrontation over Kerch Strait”,  4 Dec 2018:

Foreign ministers from the member states of NATO will convene in Brussels today to discuss the recent flare in tensions between Russia and Ukraine over access to the Sea of Azov.

Kiev has been invited to participate. It will likely reiterate its request for heightened NATO patrols in the Black Sea and increased naval assistance in the waters surrounding Crimea. While representatives are expected to unanimously condemn Russia’s act of aggression towards Ukrainian vessels, it is unlikely that they will consent to an increased deployment to the region, with heavyweights Germany and France having ruled out a military solution.

The Sea of Azov incident, as well as any potential NATO response, is also likely to undermine efforts to quell rising violence in Eastern Ukraine. Germany has pushed strongly in recent weeks for more frequent contact between the ‘Normandy Four’ group of nations committed to a peaceful solution for Ukraine’s conflict. However, Russia’s involvement is likely to pressure NATO to tread carefully in its response to avoid undermining tentative mediation efforts. NATO is expected to endorse the possibility of further sanctions against Moscow.

Tour of Poznan, Poland’s Central Market Square on 100th Anniversary of the Wielkapolska Uprising

Posted by DanielS on Sunday, 02 December 2018 05:01.

Begins in Poznan’s central market square with imagery commemorating The Polish Uprising of 1918/19; then goes up the adjacent hill to the castle where the first nobility of Poland lived; then shows Club Dragon; past Sienkiewicz museum (right foreground at 9:25, though I neglect to mention it in video), back into the market square to the Ratusz, into it’s renaissance salon; then into the Fara church; a peek into the archaeological museum; and into the market square again; finally, back to display of Pilsudski’s uprising where the tour began.

Laura Loomer discusses ban from Twitter, cites Muslim Sharia and other “left” leaning influence

While it is interesting that Loomer calls attention to Muslim (viz. Saudi) influence over Silicon Valley companies such as Twitter, note that she says that “Leftists” are given carte blanche by Twitter.

She is placing Islam in the camp of “The Left”

Islam doesn’t even allow for unions (it is an ideal feudalistic comprador vehicle).

You know that the YKW are really getting desperate to make “the left” into the enemy when they try to depict Islam as “Leftist.”

Document reveals that Stasi-minded Merkel & co. may be beind UN’s mad experiment in human pan-mixia

Stasi-Minded Experiments in human pan-mixia

Voice of Europe, “Is Angela Merkel behind the UN Migration Pact? New document sheds light”,  29 Nov 2018:

Germany’s Deception: Internal documents from Germany’s Federal Foreign Office divulge that Angela Merkel’s government has been the main mastermind behind the controversial UN migrant pact.

The document, described by MP Petr Bystron of the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD), reveals that the Federal Foreign Office taking credit for the disastrous UN Migrant Pact, claiming they’ve been working on the agreement since 2016.

The deception runs deep, the Foreign Office having stated that the German government has been behind the Global Compact on Refugees and the Global Compact on Migration, saying that though they are not legally binding, they were both designed to be “politically binding”.

Belgian International Law professor Pierre d’Argent, has explained that the agreement sets up a “legal framework” that can be used by lawyers in interpreting the meaning of the law. “…one can imagine that in some cases before international jurisdictions, lawyers use this pact as a reference tool to try to guide them,” d’Argent said.

Alexander Gauland, Co-leader of Germany’s populist AfD party told Breitbart London:

“It’s becoming glaringly obvious that the German government was trying to deceive the public, and still is. They are trying to retroactively legalise Merkel’s illegal opening of the borders since 2015. If the AfD had not raised the topic of the Global Compact, no one would ever have known about it until it was too late.”

“Now we are discovering that this contract has been in the works for a long time, and on German initiative, no less. However, those responsible never bothered to mention it. For good reason. We will do everything we can to avert this disaster in the making,” he said further.

The US, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Israel, Australia, The Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and more have backed out and will not sign the pact.

“We are only responsible to our Austrian population as government officials. Austrian sovereignty has top priority for us, this must be preserved and protected,” Austrian Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache said about pulling out of the pact.

A daycare worker has pleaded guilty to killing an eight month-old girl by smothering her with a blanket because she wouldn’t go to sleep.

Leah Walden, 24, admitted the murder of little Reese Bowman, at Rocket Tiers Learning Center, Baltimore in May 2017, at a court hearing on Tuesday, wbaltv reports.

Walden was sentenced to 70 years in prison for the horrifying killing by Judge Althea Handy who sobbed as she handed it down.

In heartbreaking scenes, Reese’s father Justin Bowman wept as he told the court: ‘I will never see my girl take her first steps, hold her, kiss her, comfort her when she’s scared, hear her say “I love you”. I am devastated.’

Turning to Walden and pointing he said: ‘Reese Annette Bowman accomplished more in her short life than this woman ever will.’

Walden tried to explain her actions by saying she had snapped and had not been given appropriate training or assistance for her job.

Assistant State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess said Walden had told a co-worker, ‘Girl, I’m frustrated. I’m sick of this little b****. I hate this little b****. She makes me want to punch her in the face.’

BREAKING: Slovakia will not support UN migration pact under any circumstances, Prime Minister says

Prime Minister of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini

Voice of Europe, “Slovakia will not support UN migration pact under any circumstances, Prime Minister says”, 25 Nov 2018:

By PAUL DIJKS

“Slovakia will not support this United Nations pact under any circumstances and will not agree with it,” Pellegrini said after the meetings. The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is set to be signed in Marrakech in December.

The rejection of the migration pact could pose problems for Pellegrini’s government as Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak, who was President of the United Nations General Assembly when the migration pact was adopted, threatened to resign if the government rejects the agreement. Pellegrini has faith that Lajcak will stay even though they are rejecting the pact, “I will do everything I can to keep him in his seat”.

Judge declares mistrial for man who confessed to murdering Queens jogger, wishes jury happy holiday

BPR, ‘Judge declares mistrial for man who confessed to murdering Queens jogger, wishes jury happy holiday”, 21 Nov 2018:

After deliberating just 13 hours over two days, a Queens jury announced that it was deadlocked in the case of jogger Karina Vetrano, who was brutally beaten and raped two years ago before being strangled to death.

The hung jury was announced late Tuesday, two days before Thanksgiving, resulting in Judge Michael Aloise granting a defense mistrial motion and dismissing the jury,  CBS New York reported.

Chanel Lewis, 22, was accused of attacking Vetrano in August 2016 and dumping her naked body in weeds near a jogging path. The evidence against Lewis, who pleaded not guilty, included DNA evidence linking him to the crime scene and a recording of him confessing.

Lewis admitted in a taped confession he killed Vetrano, but his lawyers claimed the statement was coerced. His DNA was found on the 30-year-old victim’s neck, under her fingernails and on her cellphone.

“After deliberating for the entire day we are split. It doesn’t seem like we can make progress. We feel that we have exhausted all of our options,” the seven-woman, five-man jury wrote in a note to Judge Aloise, according to the New York Post.

The impasse prompted Lewis’ attorney moved for a mistrial and Aloise unexpectedly granted it, according to The Post.

“Oh my God!” a Vetrano relative cried out.

The Post reported that before wishing jurors a happy holiday, the judge explained why he granted the defense motion.

“I’m inclined to agree, even though it’s only been a day and a half,” Aloise said. “There were extensive deliberations. They covered issues central to the debate.”
